A product of the 1980s crack epidemic, SCaRR was shaped by survival, resilience, and raw truth. Raised in a broken home, he found purpose early and music became the escape, the weapon, and the blueprint.
From day one, SCaRR knew music wasn’t a hobby it was destiny.
His sound is forged from a wide range of influences spanning genres and generations: Michael Jackson, Run-DMC, Busta Rhymes, N.W.A, Nas, Fleetwood Mac, 2Pac, Foo Fighters, Sheryl Crow, KRS-ONE, DMX, Counting Crows, Linkin Park, Snoop Dogg, Common, The Notorious B.I.G., and 50 Cent. That diversity lives in his music—hip-hop and R&B with depth, grit, and soul.
Keeping everything in the family, SCaRR co-founded his label alongside his brothers and best friends Kent “NYSMITT” Smith III and Darren “Nova” Combest, building from the ground up with loyalty at the core.
Since 2001, SCaRR has released 23 complete studio albums, continuously evolving while staying true to his roots. He doesn’t chase trends he sharpens his lane.
SCΔRR will continue to cut through the noise, push new sounds, and stand firm as a leader in hip-hop and R&B.
